How we work

How we vet professionals

Trusted Interiors editorial team · Independent · Free to homeowners

Our whole point is that we are independent. We publish honest guidance and only introduce people we would be happy to use ourselves. Here is exactly how that works, in plain English.

When you enquire, we do not hand your details to a list of firms. We find a professional suited to your specific project, area and budget, and check them before introducing you: identity and trading history, current insurance, recent work and references, any relevant trade registration, and that they are genuinely the right level for your job. We introduce one professional we would use ourselves, usually within one to two working days. If we cannot find the right fit, we tell you honestly. The introduction is always free to you; if you choose to work with someone we introduce, we may receive a referral fee, but our guides and reviews are never paid placements.

What we check before we introduce anyone

Identity and trading history We confirm the business is real, trading, and who it says it is: registered name and number where applicable, and how long they have genuinely been working in the trade.
Insurance We ask for current public liability cover (and employer’s liability where they have staff) and check it is in date before we introduce anyone.
Recent work & references We look at recent projects of a similar type to yours and speak to past customers where we can, rather than relying on a polished portfolio alone.
Relevant registration Where a trade has a meaningful scheme (for example gas, electrical or window competence), we check the professional holds it.
Right fit for your job and budget We only introduce a professional whose typical work matches your project and price level, so you are not sent someone too cheap to do it properly, or too expensive for the job.
Conduct & complaints We look for unresolved complaints or patterns of poor conduct, and we will not introduce a professional we would not be comfortable using ourselves.

What happens after you enquire

No. 01

You tell us about the job

Project, postcode and (optionally) a rough budget. It takes a minute and there is no obligation.

No. 02

We find and vet a fit

We source a professional suited to your project and budget and run the checks above. We build each match around your job rather than spraying your details to a list.

No. 03

We introduce one pro

If we find the right fit, we introduce you, usually within one to two working days. If we cannot, we tell you honestly rather than send someone unsuitable.

No. 04

You decide

Talk it through, get a proper quote, and only go ahead if it feels right. The introduction is always free to you.

Why we are honest about being new

Trusted Interiors is independent and recently launched. We build each professional match around your enquiry rather than maintaining a paid directory, which is why you will not see inflated "10,000 vetted pros" claims here. As we make introductions and gather genuine homeowner feedback, we will publish real reviews and example matches on this page. We would rather under-claim and earn your trust than over-claim and lose it.

Want to do the checks yourself?

If you would rather find someone independently, these cover what we check, so you can do the same.

Ready to be matched?

Tell us about your project and area. Add a rough budget if you like, as it helps us match a professional at the right level, so you do not waste time on firms that are too cheap or too expensive. Free and no obligation.

🔒 We never sell your details to a list of firms. One vetted introduction, matched to your project and budget.

Free and no obligation. Trusted Interiors is an independent information service; we match you to a vetted professional suited to your project and budget. If you choose to work with them we may receive a referral fee, but our guides and reviews are never paid placements. See how we vet professionals.
